Afforestation & reforestation
Native-species planting on degraded land, with species selection driven by ecology rather than growth rate alone.
Nature-Based Solutions
Nature-based carbon has a credibility problem, and it is deserved in places. We design and monitor programmes where additionality, permanence and community benefit are evidenced rather than asserted.
Principles
The failures in this market are predictable: inflated baselines, weak permanence, and communities excluded from value. We design against each of those directly.
Programme types
Native-species planting on degraded land, with species selection driven by ecology rather than growth rate alone.
High-density coastal carbon with substantial storm protection and fisheries co-benefits.
Regenerative practice change with farmer transition support and measured soil organic carbon.
Avoided deforestation with rigorous, conservatively set reference levels.
Species and habitat monitoring alongside carbon, for programmes with nature targets attached.
Remote sensing combined with field plots, prepared for third-party validation and periodic verification.
Lifecycle
Land tenure, ecology, community consent and carbon potential assessed before any commitment.
Methodology selection, baseline setting and benefit-sharing agreements executed.
Planting or practice change delivered with local partners and monitored continuously.
Independent validation and verification, then issuance and retirement tracking.
Questions
No one can guarantee it outright, and any party claiming otherwise should be treated with caution. What we can do is secure long-term land agreements, contribute to buffer pools that cover reversal risk, monitor continuously, and be transparent when a reversal occurs.
Removal credits can address residual emissions, but they are not a substitute for reduction. We will advise against a purchase if your reduction plan is not yet credible, because the reputational risk of that sequencing falls on you.
Through contracted benefit-sharing agreements with documented payment records, independently audited as part of the verification cycle. Where a programme cannot evidence this, we will say so.
Whether you are developing a project or sourcing removals, we will be straight with you about quality.
